About us, methodology and legal info
Who runs PickleballPala, how we choose and rank pickleball gear, how we earn money through Amazon, and how we handle your data (short version: we barely touch it).
Who we are
PickleballPala is an independent project run by pickleball fans. It started from a simple wish to buy well: picking a paddle, a pack of balls or a portable net and not knowing whether the model suits your level. So we compare pickleball gear and write practical guides for people who are just starting out or play for fun, and we link it all to the products you can actually buy on Amazon today.
We have no ties to any manufacturer or brand in the industry. We do not sell anything ourselves, and nobody pays us to be listed or to get a better spot on the page.
Methodology
Every comparison follows the same steps:
- Technical criteria: we start from what matters on the court: spec sheets (weight, core, face, shape, grip), the official rulebook and, for tournament play, whether the paddle is on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list.
- Amazon selection: we automatically search each country’s Amazon and only show products whose title genuinely matches the product type. Accessories and generic listings are discarded.
- PickleballPala score: products are ranked by our own score, which combines the average rating with the number of verified reviews (a high average from a handful of reviews counts for less). There are no brand bonuses.
- Availability: stock is re-checked automatically every Monday and Thursday. Out-of-stock items are hidden until they come back.
To be upfront: we do not physically test the products. We compare spec sheets, the rulebook and verified buyer reviews. No brand pays to be featured and we do not accept paid placements. We can still get things wrong, so if you spot a mistake, email us and we will fix it.
